Interview III

"Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and
realize they were the big things." ~Robert Brault

What we found when we took a wrong turn in France.

What is your favorite activity at home besides cooking?

Lately I am really interested in catching up on my movie watching!

What are your favorite food finds?

Amazon has a new gourmet store, so I was finally able to post pictures of some of the food finds
I use in my cookbook. To see my tiny gourmet store, click here

What are you currently reading?

I now read so many books, I have started to review them.

You read a lot of books! How can I read more books on a regular
basis and find time to incorporate reading into my life?

The best advice is to start reading in your interest area and then to make reading a priority. Pick any genre you enjoy and then read one book from that genre a week. To get ideas for books to read, search Amazon.com or your favorite book site for specific topics of interest.

Eventually you will find you are reading faster. At some point you may even start to read one book a day, depending on how much time you set aside for reading. I've found that constant reading is what helps me read faster. I also like to occasionally read four or five books about the same topic. This keeps me focused on one subject.

Programs that help you to speed read seem to be more about reading to learn facts or to remember content. If you read a lot of books, you will develop your own reading style.

One book leads to another. Often I find common threads of experience running through various books I'm interested in, as if the books were looking for me and wanted to be read!

I find that we all train ourselves in certain habits, so be patient with yourself. Work your way into it slowly, like a garden. Plant a few books and see what grows.

What is your favorite movie?

I have quite a few favorites. I think CAMELOT has always been my favorite movie. It was also made the year I was born.
I love the witty humor and it is so terribly heart-wrenchingly sad at the end. It is also the first movie I ever remember seeing
as a teenager. The castle scenes are spectacular. My parents took us to Europe when I was a teenager and I remember being fascinated by the castles.

I finally made a page of my favorite movies so far...

What are your goals for the future?

I want to travel more and see more castles, exercise more and live life to the fullest  I also want to read everything I can get my hands on because this is where we can expand our thinking and inspire ourselves to be better human beings.

Angels are symbolic of the world we can't see
but sometimes feel is active in our lives.

What is your favorite quote?

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams. —Eleanor Roosevelt  ....more quotes
