Strawberry Dream Ice Cream

The fresh berry flavor and the beautiful summery pink color may be enhanced with a mint leaf and slice of lemon. Frozen strawberries expedite the freezing process.

    1 (16-ounce) bag whole frozen strawberries
    ¾ cup granulated sugar
    3 tablespoons lemon juice
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    Pinch salt
    2 cups half-and-half

1.  In a blender, process strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla,
     salt and half-and-half until smooth.

2.  Pour into ice cream freezer bowl, freeze 30 minutes. If you   
     prefer a firmer ice cream, use refrigerator freezer to freeze in
     plastic container for an additional hour.

     Makes 6 scoops
