PASTRAMI
ROLL-UPS
For
a summer appetizer, skewer slices of tasty aram sandwiches with colorful party
toothpicks. Lettuce lends a crunchy texture to these rolled up sandwiches.
Lettuce was one of the first plants grown by the Sumerians, along with
chick-peas, lentils, beans, onions, garlic and leeks.
Romaine lettuce contains the antioxidant phytochemical zeaxanthin that is shown
to help protects against free radical damage. It is best eaten with a little oil
